Samothrace, Greece

In a groundbreaking project set in the picturesque landscapes of Greece, I utilized high-resolution aerial photographs from drone technology to model ancient Greek architectural sites. This extensive collection of imagery—comprising hundreds of thousands of photos—was meticulously processed using Reality Capture software, where I fine-tuned parameters and settings to transform these photographs into precise and detailed 3D models.

My role was instrumental in the experimental phase of this project, focusing on the digital preservation and analysis of historical structures. These 3D models are critical for the ongoing efforts to restore and conserve Greece’s ancient architectural heritage, providing a digital blueprint that enhances our understanding of these historical constructions and assists in their accurate restoration.
